Welcome to Sammy Zeltser’s Wish!

On behalf of Sammy Zeltser, his family and friends, we thank you for the genuine concern about Sammy's journey to recovery from devastating genetic disorder he was diagnosed with on December 21, 2007. Equally, we appreciate your anxious curiosity and worry about how the parents’ and doctors’ aggressive scramble to save Sammy's life is progressing. This website was created to fulfill several goals.

We hope to:

1. make the information on the Sammy's post-Bone Marrow Transplant condition available
2. to encourage the much-needed financial support for the Sammy Zeltser’s Special Needs Trust
3. to give Sammy's parents the outlet to channel their journey through Mom’s Diary blog
4. to allow all of you to memorialize your emotional and moral support by posting comments in Mom’s Diary
5. educate everyone about Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), its similarities with ADHD, and about ways to distinguish difference between them
6. to involve readers in advocacy, looking out for the signs of this X-linked genetic disorder and even become a bone marrow donor
